The event featured various speakers (Indiana University professor, Methodist Hospitals administrator, Gary Chamber of Commerce President, Dean and Barbara White Center administrator) who presented on topics such as digital civility, community civility counts, and civility in diversity. It was an engaging, meaningful, and fun experience for our kids!

From the Guidance Department: Seniors, The Lake Ridge Educational Foundation Scholarship is now accepting applications. Please come to the Guidance office for a paper copy of the application. Applications are due May 10th. Don't delay!

CALUMET FOOTBALL PLAYERS TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL

It’s hard to believe, but there's not much time left in the 2021-22 school year! For our seniors, there are several important dates to keep in mind as they finish out their high school careers. Please make note of the following:
Students must be cleared to purchase tickets by Mrs. Buckley and Mr. Smith. Tickets are $65 for individuals or $120 for couples. Cash and money orders are the only forms of payment accepted.
Prom 2022 is from 7 to 11 p.m. at Chateau Banquets. Let’s have a safe, fun, and memorable event!
MAY 27: LAST DAY OF SCHOOL FOR SENIORS
This is mandatory for all students who plan to walk for the ceremony! Practice begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Calumet High School gymnasium. Students will receive their cap and gown at the practice. Breakfast will be served.

Recently, we took a group of students on a tour of Purdue Northwest. They enjoyed seeing the campus and learning about the programs offered! We were also complimented on having a great group of students.

We'd like to commend our students for a productive day of e-learning! They were engaged and did a great job!

A huge "THANK YOU" to Jason Murrey for giving in-person QPR training to the teachers at Calumet! We are all so thankful for the kindness, intelligence, and "realness" you brought to our teachers.

Some of our students participated in a Cyber Patriot competition under the guidance of our computer science teacher, Ms. Murphy. More than 4,000 teams from around the world participate. Cyber Patriot is the Air Force Association's National Youth Cyber Education Program. Its objective is to inspire students to consider careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields.
